Green Top Farms

Green Top Farms was founded in 2013 by a fifth-generation farmer-turned-NYC public school teacher looking to connect local farms with urban communities. Though this initial vision took the shape of growing microgreens in a bedroom closet, we have evolved to serve healthy, prepared meals using local ingredients in New York City schools, offices, community centers, and anywhere else people are hungry. Our company is operated by a small group of folks building a new kind of food system, one that supports local supply chains, sustainable practices, and better wages for food workers.

Four & Twenty Blackbirds

Four & Twenty Blackbirds pie bakery was founded in Brooklyn in 2009 by sisters and pie makers Melissa Elsen and Emily Elsen. The sisters originally custom-baked pies in their Crown Heights, Brooklyn apartment before opening their first brick and morter retail location in Gowanus, Brooklyn in the Spring of 2010. The sisters have created a local enterprise in NYC that includes their original pie shop, a large scale production kitchen that serves as home base for their pastry team and administrative staff, and most recently, a ten seat pie counter and bar in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn that offers wine, locally brewed beer and other specialty beverages that pair with their signature pies.

EAC Limited

EAC Limited got its start back in 2011 when our founder David Morris was forced out of a competitive snowboarding career due to injury. He decided to turn the passion and self-expression he felt in the sport towards apparel. It wasn't long before word got around and other businesses started coming to him for their apparel needs. Since then, David (along with his team) has evolved the company into a full-service merchandise machine. We've got you covered from conception to sale, and we're really fun to work with ;)

The Jam Stand

The Jam Stand was born and raised in Brooklyn—the passion project of two best friends Sabrina and Jessica. Since then it’s bloomed into a delicious mission: to bring unique flavors to every table in town. The secret ingredient? Invention. The other secret ingredient? Fun. They believe that good things put together can create something better. That’s why unusual collaborations are always at the heart of the Jam Stand. These funky inventive spreads taste best in great company. So whenever you’re looking for an inspired spread, a secret ingredient, or a midnight snack, the Jam Stand has your back.

The Pickle Guys

The Pickle Guys operate a pickle store on the Lower East Side.  As far back as 1910 there have always been numerous pickle stores on Essex Street.  Today we are the only pickle store that exists on Essex Street. We make our pickles from an old Eastern European recipe “Just the way mom use to make them”.  This is a barrel cured pickle.  The pickles are made by letting them sit in salt brine with garlic, spices, and no preservatives.  Storing them in barrels, from a day up to six months, the pickles cure as they sit. The way we make these products here is just like the old days.  We operate under the Rabbinical Supervision of RABBI SHMUEL FISHELIS.

Strangers Project

Do you ever see a stranger and wonder... “What’s it like being you?” I’ve been asking that question for the past fourteen years and have received more than 85,000 hand-written, true, and anonymous answers. Whether about love or loss, joy or fear, what they all have in common is an honest voice of the human experience. Exploring the lives of the people we share space with every day shows us how wonderfully human we all are. These stories engage strangers of all ages and backgrounds to reflect, rejoice, heal and connect through words.
